Mazsons Hotel building
, part of it currently undergoing total Rehabilitation,
is one of the oldest building in Shangani area, in the
famous Zanzibar Stone Town. The building was built by
one wealthy businessman in 1830’s. According to
existing records, it is asserted that: At the beginning
of 20th Century the house was administered by one Msellem
bin Mohammed, by virtue of his inheritance who shortly
sold it to Sheikh Abdallah bin Salim Brawany for 2700
Indian Rupees.
